About Me

My name is Shannon, and I’m a wife, mother, person in recovery, and the creator of Shannon Story Hope.

For a long time, my life felt consumed by addiction, instability, poor choices, and hopelessness. There were moments where I felt completely lost and unsure of how things could ever change.

Before entering Recovery Court, I had violated probation multiple times because of methamphetamine and marijuana use. I was sitting in jail, preparing to face the judge once again, uncertain of what my future would look like.

That was when my probation officer suggested that I might be a good candidate for Recovery Court.

Shortly after, my case manager Hope came to speak with me about the program.

At the time, I had nearly run out of hope completely.

Then Hope arrived — not only as a person, but as a feeling returning to my life. In every sense of the word, hope found me again.

Recovery Court gave me structure, accountability, support, and a second chance when I desperately needed one. It challenged me to take responsibility for my life while also helping me believe that change was still possible.

Recovery has not been about becoming perfect. It has been about learning consistency, honesty, humility, perseverance, and how to keep moving forward one day at a time.

Over time, I began rebuilding relationships, rebuilding stability, and rebuilding myself.

In May 2026, my husband Rob and I graduated from Recovery Court together. What once felt impossible became reality through faith, accountability, support, and perseverance. Recovery Court gave me a second chance, and I will always be grateful for the people who helped me believe in myself again.

Today, I continue growing through recovery, faith, creativity, family, and purpose. I enjoy writing, creating art, and encouraging others who may feel lost, discouraged, or misunderstood.

I created Shannon Story Hope because I know what it feels like to believe hope is gone.

This site exists to remind people that healing is possible, growth is possible, and no matter how far someone has fallen, their story is not automatically over.

If you’re struggling right now, I want you to know this:

You are not alone.

And there is still hope for you too.

Keep Going

No matter where your story begins, it does not have to end there.

Healing takes time. Growth takes courage. Recovery happens one step at a time.

Thank you for being here.
